This session will be of value to those considering board service for the first time, as well as Executive Directors and your museum board members.

July TAM Meeting: Thursday, July 20, 2017
University of Arizona Museum of Art
Business Meeting: 4:00pm – 5:00pm
Professional Development: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
The initiative to replace TAM’s regular monthly meetings with quarterly business meetings has been implemented. The goal of these quarterly meetings will be to provide professional development opportunities to attendees, as well as facilitating a more productive business agenda. This new meeting format will be initiated at July’s TAM Meeting.
July’s professional development will be a collaboration with LeadLocal. We all want to make our museums better. It starts with us- the mindset we have that either supports or limits our actions. Let’s DO a simple reflective activity & then some meaningful networking.
LeadLocal is a Think, Learn, and Do tank that provides leadership development and professional learning opportunities. With a mission focused on empowerment through learning-by-doing, LeadLocal offers organizations and individuals unique, hands-on training and tools that they can use to make a difference. LeadLocal has experience working with educators, non-profit leaders, museums, and corporate employers. http://leadlocal.global
The staff of all TAM member institutions are welcome to attend both portions of July’s meeting. We are hopeful that those staff members who are typically unable to attend TAM meetings during regular business hours will have the opportunity to do so at July’s meeting. We understand that some members may be unable to attend both portions of the meeting.
We want to hear from you! If the 2017 monthly meeting time and/or location prohibits your ability to attend monthly meetings, please let the TAM Board know. If you would like to suggest a local business for our monthly meetings (central location, free parking, ample meeting space) we would love to hear your suggestions. Send suggestions and concerns to TucsonTAM@gmail.com
