Tucson Museums Respond to the Teacher Walk Out

The Arizona Teacher Walk Out will be held Thursday and Friday, April 26th – 27th. Since many of Tucson’s schools will be closed during this time, families will be seeking alternative care and activities for their school-aged children. As educational resources for our community, many TAM organizations will be offering on-going free and/or reduced admission to children, families, and educators, until the Walk Out has ended.

The list below highlights organizations which have confirmed their commitment with TAM. Many more institutions are promoting their resources to the community through their own social media channels. The list below will continue to be updated.

Arizona State Museum: Free admission for children and hands-on activities at the museum. Admission for adults or those without a CatCard or PCC card is $5.00. Also, Saturday, May 5th, for our Culture Craft Saturday program teachers and kids get in free. Teachers can receive professional development hours too. We ask that they rsvp to the email address listed in the flyer. Please see the flyer for details: ASM May 2018.
